I recently received a national tourism gift certificate. I know about department store gift certificates and cultural gift certificates, but I was unfamiliar with national tourism gift certificates because it was my first time hearing about them!

Are national tourism vouchers refundable?
100% refund is not possible for national tourism gift certificates, and instead, if you use more than 60% of the face value at the place where you use it, the affiliated store will return it in cash. The National Tourism Gift Certificate is said to be valid for 5 years from the date of issuance.
