1. Barista license level 2
The barista level 2 certification consists of a written test and a practical test. The written test covers an introduction to coffee science, coffee roasting and flavor evaluation, and coffee extraction. A total of 50 questions are presented in 4-choice multiple-choice format and the test time is 60 minutes. If you get a score of 70 or higher, you can pass, but since the actual questions are easy, you can pass without difficulty if you study carefully with the previous questions. In the practical test, preparation evaluation, espresso evaluation, cappuccino evaluation, and service skills are evaluated. Three evaluators evaluate one examinee, and a person can pass with a score of 70 or higher. The duration of the test is 15 minutes, 5 minutes for preparation and 10 minutes for demonstration.

 

 

 

 

2. Barista license level 1
For barista level 1 certification, you can take the written test after obtaining barista level 2 certification. The written test covers an introduction to coffee science, coffee roasting and flavor evaluation, coffee extraction, and Korean tea (green tea). The same as the barista level 2 certification, it is a 50-question, multiple-choice, multiple-choice type question, and about 10% of the English evaluation coffee questions may be included. The test time is given for 60 minutes and you can pass if you get 70 points or more.

The practical test consists of pre-preparation posture, espresso evaluation, and cappuccino evaluation. In the pre-preparation process, select one of the provided coffee beans and grinder and set the appropriate grinder grind level. Afterwards, 4 cups of espresso and 4 cups of cappuccino are made (the flavor of espresso must be explained, and capocino must be completed with 2 cups of rosetta and 2 cups of 3-layer tulips as latte art.
